Madeline Gregory is entering her 8th year of education and has served in the public schools as an Assistant Band Director at Oak Ridge High School in Conroe ISD and at Keller Middle School in Keller ISD. During the 2025-2026 school year, Ms. Gregory held the position of Visiting Assistant Professor-Assistant Director of Bands at the University of Houston Moores School of Music. While at the University of Houston, Ms. Gregory assisted with all aspects of the Athletic Bands and taught the Symphonic Band.
As a member of the Oak Ridge High School team, Ms. Gregory oversaw all aspects of the woodwind pedagogy for the Oak Ridge Band, assisted in all aspects of the visual program and taught AP Music Theory. During her time there, the War Eagle Marching Band was a consistent UlL Area Finalist and UlL State Marching Contest participant and a consistent Bands of America Regional Finalist. Ms. Gregory's ensembles have earned numerous Ist divisions in the UIL Concert and Sight Reading process over the years. In 2025, Ms, Gregory was a member of the team that helped prepare the Oak Ridge Wind Ensemble for their performance as an Invited Spotlight Program at the Texas Music Educators Association Clinic and Convention in San Antonio. Being an avid supporter of chamber music, Ms. Gregory helped continue the strong tradition of chamber music within the program. Under her direction, The Chipped Reeds Clarinet Choir were named State Finalists at the UIL State Chamber Music Contest in 2022, 2023 and 2025.
Ms. Gregory graduated in 2019 with her undergraduate degree in Music Education from the University of Houston where she studied flute with Peggy Russell of the Houston Ballet and studied with David Bertman, Dr. Cory Meals, Dr. Cameron Kubos and John Benzer. In 2023, Ms. Gregory earned a Master of Arts degree in Band Studies from Sam Houston State University where she studied with Dr. Matthew Mcinturf, Dr. Brian Gibbs and Professor Darla McBryde. Her professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association.
In her free time, Ms. Gregory enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and loves to craft (currently she loves to crochet and bake sourdough bread!). She is a fan of University of Houston athletics, loves dogs and coffee, and enjoys riding her bike and reading as much as she can. Ms. Gregory is truly excited to be part of the Ridge Point band family and to be a PANTHER!
